All of our providers have years of experience evaluating and treating patients with autism and ADHD. Studies have shown no differences in diagnostic outcomes between in person and virtual assessments especially when conducted by trained and experienced experts.

WellChild Center for Development provides fast, virtual autism and ADHD evaluations, personalized speech therapy, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) support, and ongoing care coordination. We also offer a range of additional assessments tailored to each child’s unique needs—including neuropsychological evaluations, learning disability testing, gifted assessments, Comprehensive Developmental Evaluations (CDE), and academic assessments. Our licensed specialists deliver expert, compassionate care in English, Spanish, and French, partnering with families to build clear, personalized paths forward. These evaluations can be conducted in the comfort of your home, with minimal waiting time.

Autism evaluations are offered to children between 16 months and 21 years of age. ADHD evaluations are available to children and teens between the ages of 5 and 21 years of age.

Yes, we conduct evaluations in both English, Spanish and French. We have Spanish-speaking staff members who are available to assist in any way we can.

The autism evaluation process begins with an initial interview with the family, followed by detailed data collection and a real-time online observation of your child. A comprehensive, diagnostic report and care plan is completed and shared with you. We’ll discuss our findings and recommendations in a feedback session. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Yes. Our team will walk you through the process of consent forms and any intake forms that need to be completed.

Our evaluations are conducted over 2-3 sessions depending on the reason for referral. Each session is typically no more than 90 minutes.

Autism evaluations are conducted by our clinical neuropsychologists with the support of speech language pathologists. The clinical neuropsychologists conduct ADHD assessments.

Yes, the evaluation results can be instrumental in obtaining support services such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 plans, and access to various therapies. Evaluation reports are tailored to meet your child’s specific needs, and they outline accommodations, interventions, and support services that should be provided to help your child succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Evaluation results provide valuable information that helps educators and specialists understand your child’s strengths and challenges, ensuring that s/he receives appropriate accommodations and interventions to support learning and communication in school and other settings.

Following diagnosis, we can provide the support you need to get your child behavioral therapy (ABA) as applicable, and can assist in locating speech and occupational therapists in your area. We also provide social skills therapy to bridge the gap between diagnosis and the acquisition of in-person speech/language services. Our Multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with you and other professionals involved in your child’s care to develop personalized recommendations and support strategies aimed at maximizing your child’s potential and overall well-being.

You will have access to your child’s evaluation report through your patient portal.
