As a first-time mom, I spent countless hours researching the best baby essentials, while they were definitely great and highly reviewed, I still over-purchased and ended up with items I never used. To save you the time and energy that we all know is scarce, I’ve created a list of must-haves based on what truly worked for us. This carefully curated list will help you avoid the trial and error, ensuring you have only the essentials that make a real difference during those early months. I am absolutely obsessed with this item. The SNOO bassinet has been a game-changer for me, and I can’t imagine how I would have managed without it. While you’ll still need to wake up for feedings, the real magic happens once your baby is fed. The SNOO gently rocks your baby back to sleep, often without you having to leave your bed, making nighttime care so much easier. It has four different levels that increase in intensity for those more intense wake up cries. Its built-in white noise and soothing motion help keep babies asleep longer by providing a calming environment throughout the night. It offers peace of mind and a restful night for both baby and parents.

I also used it as a night light during the middle of the night feeds. I have the app on my phone, my laptop, my ipad, my mom has it, my husband has it, we all keep watch on her. The best part is that you can also easily travel with it as well. As a overly worried first time mom, I also frequently watched her in the middle of the night to make sure she was okay although she was right next to me in her SNOO bassinet, but the camera showed a much better picture that my eyesight at night.
Sound Machine:

I highly suggest that you stock up on newborn sizes and a few larger sizes too. After trying many different brands, I found the Honest brand diapers to be the most durable and comfortable, leading to fewer blowouts, less diaper rashes and longer sleep for our baby and for us. Although it was a bit more expensive, we still ended up saving money because we used less of them.
Wipes:
The Honest Company Plant-Based Baby Wipes made with over 99% Water
Choose gentle, hypoallergenic options. I selected wipes with natural ingredients to avoid any skin irritation and to keep my baby’s skin soft and healthy.
WaterWipes Plastic-Free Original Baby Wipes
This one I really liked also since it avoided any harmful chemicals and its primarily water. It’s important to note that some wipes have been recalls with other wipes, which made me really not trust many other brands but these two.
Diaper Rash Cream:
